You’re welcome to visit Hopscotch with your child at any time, no appointment is necessary.  Please feel free to come and look around before enrolling your child.  We’re open from 8am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday.  We close on public holidays and for two weeks at Christmas.

If you’d like information about availability or you’re interested in enrolling, please complete the enquiry form below and we’ll contact you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can call or email us – please see our Contact Us page for our details.

Our availability frequently changes.  If we cannot immediately offer your required booking, we will ask if you’d like to be placed on our waiting list.  We will notify you as soon as we can confirm a place for your child.  After a place has been confirmed, Hopscotch recommends that children attend for at least three visits before the booking starts.  The parent or caregiver will be asked to remain with their child on these visits and stay for approximately one hour.  Parents are invited to leave their child for a short period on a third or fourth visit.  We aim to find out more about your child on these visits – what interests them, what they like to do and what may concern them.

We have minimum enrolment requirements as follows:

Under 3 years old

A minimum of two sessions per week for at least 3 hours per session.  Sessions can be booked between 8am and 12pm, or between 12.30pm and 5.15pm.  Full days must be for a minimum of 6 hours per day.  Bookings will not be taken between 9.00am and 9.30am.

Over 3 years old

A minimum of two days per week for at least six hours per day, subject to availability.  You may be able to attend for shorter days to start with – please feel free to discuss this with the Office Manager.

20 Hours Early Childhood Education (ECE)

All three- and four-year-olds at Hopscotch can get up to six hours a day and up to 20 hours per week of early childhood education with no compulsory fees. If your child does not start school when he/she turns five, they can continue to be eligible for 20 Hours ECE until their sixth birthday.  For more information, please go to the 20 Hours ECE link at the bottom of this page.

We have different rates for children under two years and over two years, as well as capped rates for children who attend full-time.  Childcare subsidies are also available through Work and Income New Zealand – click on the link to WINZ below for more information.  Please contact us for our latest Fees Policy.
