- A named hat and two spare set of clothes.
- Nappies if your child needs them (we will provide wet wipes).
Getting Involved
If you or your whanau would like to be involved in Hopscotch in any way, please let us know. This could be things such as sharing your hobbies with the children, taking part in walks and trips or bringing in resources for our use.
Accounts
Invoices will be sent out weekly by email, or printed if we don’t have an email address. Accounts are to be paid weekly (or otherwise by arrangement) by Eftpos, cash, cheque or direct credit.
Meals
Hopscotch Preschool provides morning & afternoon teas as well as a late snack. Parents and caregivers must supply a healthy lunch in a named lunchbox, together with a named water bottle.
If your child has special dietary requirements, please talk to us and we’ll talk about how we can help.
Emergency Preparations
Hopscotch has an Emergency Plan for the protection & care of children & staff in the event of emergencies which could affect the centre, such as fire, earthquake or flood. Drills for the various types of emergencies are practised at least once a term & all children are taught how to protect themselves. The centre has emergency supplies of first aid, food, water & other resources necessary for the care & support of children & staff for a limited time. In the event of a major emergency, Hopscotch accepts responsibility for the care and welfare of your child until collected by you, or your nominated emergency custodian. If the Hopscotch premises become inhabitable, we will care for your children at the Otorohanga College which is an authorised Civil Defence meeting point.
